Use LS or wait for GSR?Sleeved, forged

Well i have a decision to make, i have a jdm 98 r head that im going to be using for my turbo setup.
I have eagle rods and cp pistons allready and ive been TRYING to find a gsr block to send to bensen to get sleeved but havn't seen any as cheap as i would like to spend so far. SO...
Do you guy's think i should just snag a LS blockand send it to bensen then run LS-Vtec
OR should i just wait for a gsr block then send that to bensen and run my head on that?

Yea ls-vtec's give me a little bit of an uneasy feeling as well. Id rather run a block that is meant to have a vtec head mated to it. Even though there really arn't much differences between the gsr block and ls block aside from the oil squirters.

if you're building the bottom end then why does it really matter, it would be the same at that point

So the question comes to the oil squirters, jd or someone with some insight, with all forged internals would not having the oil sqirters make a difference.?

stock sleeve LS vtec :y Im ordering rods/pistons and their only $704 shipped for weisco and eagles.

But u dont need oil squirters with forged pistons, thats why GE sells those JDM plugs for them ;)

Oil squirters are useless. I have never heard of an engine failure attributed to not having them, but if one gets nicked or bent they cause wonderful oil pressure problems.

Go ERL or AEBS for your block. A shop I talk to had three Bensons blocks in a row sink.

I'm not trying to bad mouth Benson's, but it's a one man operation I've been aware of for a decade now, and I've been hearing his name everywhere in the last year. I figure he's good and buried, and that's his problem.

They are 734 shipped for CP's and eagles, id spend the extra 30 and go with the CP's. CP's for honda's have a better name in my book, when i hear wiseco i think dirtbikes for some reason. lol
