Yeah, I know this is gd but this is urgent I'm suppose to be meeting cray in like an hour and my car wont start.

it is a dpfi d15b2 and when i tunr it over it wont fire, but the ground wire glows red ...wtf

any ideas?

it`s oberivously a short, a short that doesn`t blow any fuse, with a super high load that it light up the wire
gotta be the circuit on the starter.
but it cranks huh???

i haven't done ---- to it

it overheated hard yesterday and was running on 3 cylinders for the last 20miles so i dont know

i need this motor to make me like another 9 miles that is all i need out of her ;)

does the wire glow if you power up the car without cranking it?
if it doesn`t then push it start :P
just make sure u don`t stall on any intersection :-X

and make sure its gettin gas? pull a plug? is it the coil? -been there done that :-\

which ground wire is glowing? the one on the valve cover? is the big one hooked up properly? the one by the tranny.

sounds like your grounding out,

check the power wire and make sure its not touching the frame, is your battery relocated? do you have a distribution block or a in line fuse from the engine fuese box to the battery?

i think it glow red only because he only has that one tiny ground wire to power up the starter.

your supposed to have the tranny ground on. check the ground on the water outlet. its the one right by the intake manifold that connects to the bottom of the radiator. that one is very important. gosh man i havent seen you on here forever and you only come back when you have a problem ::)

it ran like this for like 4-5k miles now...lol just starting to be a bitch now.

as far as not posting very much lately, i've been very busy...several motor swaps and tons of other various ----.

plus everyone seemed to have a problem with me so ::) like anyone even missed me? :'(

i have a few projects that i'll be posting here shortly.

oh yeah i went out told the car "you better start you little slut" and she did. ;)

the ------ thing is a pile.

the motor is going to be pulled here in a few days after i get a ball joint in my new crx.

my car has the same problem, except I haven't done ---- to it. It would turn over and not start. Never looked for a glowing red wire though :P

Pisses me off though, I was stuck for an hour at a store before the bitch started. Never happened before, just started half a week ago :-\

in the merc? I've seen 2 cars in town just like yours, one was on a car lot, I thought about going to talk to a salesperson about it.

yeah, not mine though, my mom's/pop's it's really pissing me off. I let my mom use my car so she wouldn't be stranded somewhere cause the fucker won't start. :-\

I'm probably gonna change the oil pan gasket, maybe buy a new oil pan for it too, just because I know it leaks, and the car's oil pressure is low too :-\

I have had the same thing happen to me on one various system that I installed for someone. Powered it up and damn was that ground hot, Solution. Bigger ground.


I think somebody allready said that but just seconding that solution.

That ground is bad. Get some new wiring and clean your mounting points and remove all rust. Grounds will always do wierd stuff one thing I have learned over the years.
