Well the paint job is all finished. Except a spot on either side of the front fender where i didn't let the paint dry enough before squeezing it in.

Tank

Fender

Side cover right as i finished painting it. No the end result isn't that orange peeled. It does have some, but not that bad.

Finished product.

A pic of the part of the fender i fucked up. Look rifgt above where the brake line bolts to the fender.

The total cost for paint and everything was about $200 and took all of about 8 hours work. It changed the look of the bike already. Next up is tires and clubmans. Then im going to try to find the turbo models turbo kits. Oh yeah a boosted bike is gunna be hot.

Cool, a guy here is selling a cb750. I never really cared for them and wanted street bike but might pick it up anyway if the price is right.

Yeah i don't like the style of the bikes, but i couldn't pass it up for $700. I don't even have a grand into this thing yet. And other than the fucked up scary *** brakes and bad back tire, it rides really well. Its comfortable with that big *** seat and goofy handlebars, but those will be going soon.

Is the mileage on them ridiculous and are they somewhat fast? I think he only wants a few hundred so I might pick it up, and it's really clean.

The mileage on my bike is about 40-45 mpgs if i remember correctly. The cb750 gets a little worse, but its also faster and has better brakes. Mine has a rear drum and 1 single piston caliper up front. But the bike is pretty quick. Its got enough power to pull the front end up without too much work. And remember its shaft driven so you cnt just sprocket it to get the torque you need to do that.

Nice. My 240k mile CRX's A6 isn't getting the mileage it used to, gotta refill the oil monthly, and the LS-VTAK won't be ready for at least another 6 months or so until the house is built so I have a garage to work in. I might go for it, stimulus and state tax check coming through this month, on top of a couple paychecks, and weather is getting nice. I got a lot to learn bout these sumbitches though.

Basically you just rip off all the fairing crap?

the fairing is pretty much up to you. thats all personal styling opinions. but ripping off the fairings loses weight. and i plan on a k&n air filter set so i can lose the stock big *** air box. i want to relocate the battery to up under my seat and the turn signal thing there too so its just nice and open under it.
