Update on my build + Injury w/ blood Enjoy!...56k Go have a snack!!!

Today I did some work on the engine and finally came around to rotating center section of the Supra turbo, setting the timing and cutting away the cam sprocket cover on the B16 valve cover. I decided I'm going to use a stock LS or B16 manifold and make a top mount out of it (sink trap style) so this is what the turbo will sit like.

Time to get rid of that stupid sprocket cover.

So after I busted 2 diamond cutters it was time to do things by hand. But guess what, no metal hacksaw so I had to turn to the next best thing.

It worked pretty good.

After I cleaned all the aluminum filings off it was time to do the timing. Its so much easier to do this with the engine out of the car.

So here is the beast...Actually this turbo is going to be a pain in the ass to run oil to. I dont know if its visible but the oil feed and return are on the same side right next to each other.Oh well it was free.
So what I'll do is make a custom adapter that has 2 metal lines coming off of it, small one will bend upwards toward the oil feed and the other will be fed to the oil pan through a solid copper pipe.

As you can see the water lines need to be rotated because normall they'd go over the compressor side but now I'll need them running over the hot side and down to the rad hoses.

So here is the Injury part and how it happened. I was trying to get the rubber off the lines and it would not budge so I was cutting it off with a blade when the blade broke in 2 and slipped clipping my hand.

Muscle tissue FTW!

Skin is pretty damn thin.

All in all it was a pretty good day I got al ot done. My hand hurts like a bitch and no I did not want to get stiches because I dont want to sit in the ER for 3 hours.

Haha cool cut.

Once wayyy back in the day my friends and I crawled in someone's big camper, we were trying to turn the AC on but the knob was gone. My friend decided to pry one of the other knobs off to put on the on/off one with a utility knife, and slit his thumb open. I tried the same thing and got a pretty nice gash as well. Looked kinda like that one except bigger :P

Yeah, doug684 was bitching about that cam sprocket cover today too.

They're so annoying and if you're like me and always tinker with timing then it just gets in the way. Now I wont have to keep pulling my valve cover off like I did last summer.

Yeah, whoever I get to put my engine together (unless I read up and find that it's easy) I will probably ask to cut it off. And to think I was bitching about my SOHC because I have to take off some ---- just to get the timing belt covers off...

If its not to late, put some crazy glue on that cut.

Sure thing man once it gets warm we'll hang out more often. I usually just hibernate in the winter.
