my car's been boosted for about 5 mos now and the whole time, my bov didn't work, and my dumb ass left the o-ring seal thing out of the bottom of my 'un-tial', so i've had an exhaust leak for 5 mos, that i just assumed was normal :-\ i went to install my new boost controller on friday and it wasn't working, so i got confused and took the wg off and saw a big gap all the way around the piston ??? "did they send me the wrong part? did they ---- up at the factory? etc., etc., oh wait! *light bulb* it looks like the little ring that came with my wastegate would fit perfectly in there!!"

sweet! now my car sounds stock and spools up a million times faster, got a nice new bov, life is great!

saturday rolls around, start hearing exhaust leak?? thought maybe something was coming loose, so i pop the hood and see my manifold cracked all to ---- b/c the braces broke off :-[ oh well, i drive it around the rest of the weekend.

monday rolls around, i take the day off work, take the mani to my local exhaust man (this guy's awesome, a black redneck who will weld anyhing for me for like 5 or 10 bucks), he rewelds it and puts some new braces on it, and i take it home and slap it on. i also go ahead and install the boost controller (i took it out on frida b/c i didn't think it was working).

here's a video from this morning, the car is fast as ---- now on 11 psi, the tires break loose in first and second and the turbo spools so damn fast, it use not to even boost in first gear (i assume b/c of the wg leak), but now i hit full boost half way through first, and this is a .63/.60. more video and pics to come!

at first in the video i'm just crusin in 5th givin it a little gas and it jumps right up to 11 psi, then a little third gear roll on for dat ass, i'll take more in the day time so you can see the speedo takin the ---- off!

yeah, the cel is on, but it's something with the uberdata, it throws no codes and runs perfect, and it goes away if a run a chrome .bin. as far as auto-x, no, i was in one event, it was pretty fun, but i'd rather drag race. why do you ask?

yah people are raving all over HT about it. apparently they are the best bang for the buck stiffening..

but they look simple enough that some1 who can weld should be able to make them...

did u disable the eld???i hear when doing the obd 2 to 1 conversion...it likes to throw the eld...so disable it and see what happens....my speakers dont work...but by the looks of it....your ---- mooves...havent seen u on here in a while.

----, i was rapin mustangs before and only running low 14's, compared to how the car use to feel when it ran 14's, i'll have no problem hitting a low 13, maybe even a really high 12 if i can get a good 60' and the clutch doesn't slip too bad, which it actually seems to be holding up better with more boost???

charley is this 85 year old man thats out there drag racing, he has an olds 442,(i think-might be a nutless???) he bracket races it, and smokes everyone. its funny. this little old man, in this half face helmet, and he races.

Still it sounds nice. I also have a big leak, need a gasket, but runs decent.

The car looks like it was success, I mean 5 months and everything is still working fine.

what are you using to get the video onto your computer? If you used virtualdub and encoded that ---- in divx you could get better res and maybe better sound quality

what do you use to capture it? i remember using my cousins mini dv camcorder and encode that ---- in divx and the files would still be small but the quality was badass

i'll get more in the daylight, i'm just using my digi cam video feature so there is no light, zoom, or anything for that matter. i'll also try and have some one ride with me so i can actually drive it hard, kind of hard to do holding a camera :P
