my car's been boosted for about 5 mos now and the whole time, my bov didn't work, and my dumb *** left the o-ring seal thing out of the bottom of my 'un-tial', so i've had an exhaust leak for 5 mos, that i just assumed was normal i went to install my new boost controller on friday and it wasn't working, so i got confused and took the wg off and saw a big gap all the way around the piston "did they send me the wrong part? did they ---- up at the factory? etc., etc., oh wait! *light bulb* it looks like the little ring that came with my wastegate would fit perfectly in there!!"



sweet! now my car sounds stock and spools up a million times faster, got a nice new bov, life is great!

saturday rolls around, start hearing exhaust leak?? thought maybe something was coming loose, so i pop the hood and see my manifold cracked all to ---- b/c the braces broke off oh well, i drive it around the rest of the weekend.

monday rolls around, i take the day off work, take the mani to my local exhaust man (this guy's awesome, a black redneck who will weld anyhing for me for like 5 or 10 bucks), he rewelds it and puts some new braces on it, and i take it home and slap it on. i also go ahead and install the boost controller (i took it out on frida b/c i didn't think it was working).

here's a video from this morning, the car is fast as ---- now on 11 psi, the tires break loose in first and second and the turbo spools so damn fast, it use not to even boost in first gear (i assume b/c of the wg leak), but now i hit full boost half way through first, and this is a .63/.60. more video and pics to come!

at first in the video i'm just crusin in 5th givin it a little gas and it jumps right up to 11 psi, then a little third gear roll on for dat ***, i'll take more in the day time so you can see the speedo takin the ---- off!

ok, it's fixed now, but the video still does the car no justice, it is too damn fast for my own good

 

I saw the car before the BOV was fixed, it was impressive then. I would like to check it now Kevin...

 

it scares me now, tires break loose in first and second with good tires on dry pavement not even trying, i guess i just have to get use to it.

 

did you get a new clutch yet?
