and about the ceramic center of a spark plug busting out a window. thats false as well. theres no way you can take the ceramic out of a plug in one peice without it shattering into tiny pieces. There is not enough density or mass in a tiny peice of ceramic to be able to throw it fast enough to shatter a window, I know i tried. Maybe if you loaded a peice of it into a BB gun and shot at it with that.
What does work is lead fishing weights or the lead weight used to balance your tires. Lead beeing dense as ---- can shatter a window without making noise.

Yes ceramic works just fine.You break the ceramic into pieces with a hammer and take some fishing line and tie it tight around a nice little piece and you now have a perfect tool for smasing out windows silently.This is not a theory It works I know I used it dozens/hundreds of times :P

Our room mate locked his keys in his car one night at work. We couldn't get the door open for ----. Well it was about 1 in the morning and he didn't want to wait for the next day or a lock smith. So we take a crow bar and start beating the hell out of the rear drivers side window. Nothing. Finally ended up finding a big brick and broke it.

ive worked with tempered windows before, when the glass did not meat quality we would break it. When the glass is heated and cooled the strength goes to the center but the edges are weekend. So we would just smack it in the corner and it shatters. Center punches always do the trick.
