So, Im at the end of my yearly contract out here at MS... Have 100 days till I can come back (managers have expressed interest in once again bringing me back when Im eligible)...

Have a bit over couple grand saved up (not to mention the 3+ Gs the straight cut box will bring in when sold) and take home about 21-2200 a monthy unemployment.

Car needs a new head gasket installed, and its mah birfday1 week from today. Goal is to get the damn HG in.... Need to get her all slutted up for the NW HMT meet...

? is with the straight cuts, or the OEM JDM LSD box....

There will be no slicks, but looking for looooooow 11s on the M&Hs

if youre gonna get 2200 a month for unemployment and can afford to live on that then youre stupid not to. even if you cant get back at your old job id still milk the unemployment for all its worth until its up then find a new job. hell you pay for it every week in taxes and if you dont use it some ungrateful lazy piece of trash is just gonna get it for welfare anyways.

OC<GTC taking a break from work will be nice too, not sure about the unemployment but i guess you might as well get some of that money you been paying all these years back lol.

I asctually broke second in it a couple weeks ago, but shes all freshened up and IN the car right now (all new inside - the gears in it have not seen any turbo abuse... SHould last for a hot minute again... I broke 3 teeth off of the input shaft on second, MINT otherwise, so I changed out the fifth gearset and selector sleeve, shifts FLAWLESS... HAHAHAHA and is entirely made up of busted tranny parts...


... Not sure why the HG went, but it wasnt pulling as good a vacuum as previously when warm.... and was running on 3.5 cylinders... Leakdown showed that there is a significant leak in the cooling system on 4. That was after a relentless witch hiunt of injector/ Ignition woes... It sounded like the spark was breaking up.


You could hear the air hissing out the radiator... The block was checked when I rebuilt it, ARPS tqed to spec, The ONLY thing I didnt do was check the head for flatness...

It never got hot, but I sure wish I would have checked it now... ill let yall know what happened when I get it apart this week.

DEFINATELY plan on making the 18th though....

Check the head and deck. Hopefully the deck is fine. Get the head planed if it aint'. You ever try Indian Head brand Schallak compound? It's like super glue for gaskets. I broke 5/12 head bolts on my Yamahammer outboard. Put the 7 that werent' broke and that shalack ---- and it holds strong. I wanna try it on a car HG one day. It's super good ----.

up until friday i would have agreed. now id say dont waste your time with them.
