ummm....i own a dsm now
I just put a down payment on a 92 turbo awd plymouth laser. I missed getting a 6 bolt by like 4 months but im buying a short block off a friend hopefully to build up ;). i went there thinking i was looking at a car with 78,000 miles for 2650 and found out it was 178,000, so i talked them down to 2100. Pics will come as soon as i go pick it up on tuesday. No hardcore anti-dsm flaming please guys :P

Re:ummm....i own a dsm now
Yeah I hear you there. We tool it to the strip last week, just to see what we could do with it. On the BOV it had a return to the turbo, so we cut that hose off (we didnt have any pliers) and taped it shut. The fastest we could pull with the car was a 15.5 which isnt that bad I dont think. Im gonna look at a 92 hatch also tonite. I have alot of ideas though.
You know any websites with a forum, like isnt there DSM.com or something like that where I can really read up on these? |
Re:ummm....i own a dsm now
dsm strong points are the power they can make..but i would never buy one due to the problems that go along with it. Of the three dsm models I dont pay attention that much to the laser, prior to the eagle and eclispe so idk would you would expect from that car:-\

Re:ummm....i own a dsm now
DSM are pretty sweet though. With just a little work, my gf's brother got his 91 Talon TSi to do a 13.3 1/4 on street tires, on his only run.

check out dsmtuners.com that is the site you need to be at if you own a dsm, it ------- rocks. I have a few other dsm links, I'll post them if you need 'em. The 1g cars are the faster of the breed, the 2g (97+) cars have the stylin. I like 6 bolt swaps into 2g, I'm going to hook up my brother's 97 gst one of these days with a proper motor. You can easily make your car to 300hp without any major mods, most of the stock dsm turbos are good for 20 psi and spool fast as ----. My brother wants to stick with his T25, he really likes the insta-boost - I would like to complete stage 1 mods to that car with the factory turbo, he has a few mods, full exhaust is a must! Let us know what's up. -ryan |

Congrats...DSM are fun. I have a 92'Talon TSi (awd-turbo) With a Big16g. Great for snowboarding trips. I'm actully looking at selling it,so I can boost my crx. Try DSMTunners.Com & DSMTrader.com. If your from WA, I think July 16th there gonna have a "DSM" day in Yakima @ RenagadeRaceWay (1/4mile) Look up Airpopoff on DSMTunners, for more info.

Re:ummm....i own a dsm now
Where did you find the 16g? I thought those were only under the hoods of EVOs. I could be wrong, I haven't done all that much research into it, but it is the most practical swap if you still want to retain most of your factory setup (manifold and ----).
