Ahahaha, nice. I wouldn't call that a speed trap though. It's more of a speed-scare.

I wonder if it actually fools anyone.

It would have caught me off guard, I was in eastern washington this summer and driving through some little town there were two cop cars with dummies in them... i couldnt imagine this towns police force consisted of more than 2 cars, so i just rocket through the rest of the way no problem.

I've heard of that, they usually use "retired" squad cars though. So I would be careful, the real cop might be waiting around the next corner.

when i speed i always look ahead to see if there is a cop trying to clock passing cars. So more than likely i would hit the breaks

Man, if I saw that and was driving my truck, I would be real tempted to stop, fold it up and take it with me, lol. OR better yet, take it, modify it to make it look like he is holding a bazooka and put it back. hehe.

They did that ---- here. I remember seeing a few retired cruisers on the side of the road with tinted windows. I think people caught on and eventually they were removed.

Around here, when they leave an unoccupied cop car next to the road, it's to lull people into a false sense of security. They occupy it in 24 to 72 hours and start cleaning up.

Here they put in a fake cop car next to the highway with a blow up doll in it (no joke). I must have driven by it 50-60 times and slammed my brakes every single time.

I got a ticket last night on my way into Nevada. This ------- gay ass highway went 25-------------35-----------55-----------45-------------55 and I set my cruise at 55. As I went through the 45mph zone I got busted. ::) He said my speed was fluctuating above 60. ::) It couldn't have been fluctuating that much on cruise control -------. :7 Now I can't find my ------- CCW permit. I'm not sure if he ever gave it back to me. :7 Sometimes I feel like killing people. :S Then his vagina must have been hurting because he gave me a seat belt ticket on top of that. ::) :3

Don't feel bad Boosty, one of the guys I know got a reckless op ticket for pulling into a McDonald's parking lot "too fast" yesterday. I guess it is like almost a $200 fine and 2 pts.

Re: Ultimate speedtrap

----! here you dont need to look for po pos, regular civilian cars sit on the side of the roads with cameras, or remote cameras on the roads flash you when you speed, then you get the ticket in the mail 2 weeks later. so everytime I see a car on the side, I slam on my brakes.
