You're young dude. If the chick really loved you she would have stuck by you. Second, there will be PLENTY of other girls to go out with and you have plenty of good years ahead of you. Your hobby shouldn't be stressful. It may stress you out from time to time but it shouldn't be something you dread doing. If it's really bothering you then just take a break from it right now. It would be a shame to give up on your build now that you're very close to finishing.
And as far as being down about the girl...just stay busy. Work extra if you feel like it, go out with your friends, work on your car if you feel like it.
I say finish the build but keep the spare B18 just in case

Forget about the selfish girlfriend and look forward to meeting hotter, cooler, non-selfish girls in collage, While your at it, work on the project car here and there, it will never leave you for spending too much time with a girl.
