It depends on the place, that's why I said in Florida if the cop doesn't show up in court, you are free.

Also in Florida they can hide behind signs and park in the median with the lights off and it is not considered entrapment.

I know in other states they cannot do that, some places they have to even park with their parking lights on.
and you're in Canada right? different laws in different places, try to talk to a cop up there, be cool about it, most cops are ok to talk to.

you were speeding, and you know it, and you got a ticket, whats the big deal?
we all get tickets, you just gotta be more smart on the road.
ive gotten a ton of stupid tickets, but for the most part you just gotta suck it up and realize the cop is giving you a break by reducing the ticket and move on.

the only thing i would have done different was ask to see the radar, unless they have the radar to prove it you can't really be ticketed.
pay up, we all do, and learn.

my tickets, 110 in a 90, going through a yellow light, exessive noise from spinning tires, startling another user of the road, and driving without a seatbelt for 3 blocks.

i know this guy( who has gotten lots and lots of speeding tickets by the way) he told me go 2 court and if the cop shows up good. tell the judge u wanna see some paper i forgot exactly but u wanna see the paper that says the cop was allowed 2 use the radar gun at the time u recieved the ticket. he said that and the judge asked the cop if he had that paper and he said no not with me i have it back at the station. guy said judge dropped the ticket everytime. this is in NY but i just thought i would share that. good luck

I have averaged a speeding ticket every 2 1/2 years.
I could be tickected every time I drive :P
Bottom line is if you speed you will get caught every so often, radar detector or no radar detector.
Last ticket I received, I was nailed by Aircraft with ground support.

Drive the speed limit if you don't want to get caught speeding

WOT, Go to POINTs of Traffic Cops, ask them(you know those cheesey lawyers for tickets) I have friends do that. The pay a bigger fee up front but you save on insurance in the long run.

A cop can pull you over past where he caught you. Should have ask to see the radar. My dad had it once were the cop insisted on showing him the radar, my dad admitted he was doing 85 in a 50, went the the cop car, as the cop picked up the radar he accidentally cleared. Instant off ticket!! it was F@cking Funny.

I'm not sure the check marks and x thing will work. You now nedd 3 minor errors (street spelling, time(if it's not too off) and ---- like that) in order to qualify.
