I have never ridden a 700 only its predecessor the 660. That was a wheelie machine, to the point of almost being scary. Is the 700 more balanced? Or is a turbo 700 gonna be something that you basically ride on the back two wheels?

mmm i dont know yet i'll tell you in a little bit lol...

the 700 is a far superior machine to the 660. faster, more torque, more hp, less weight, better suspension, bunch of stuff...

put all the plastic on and the boost gauge, took it for a ride.

when i could get my eye on the boost gauge it was about 8-9psi perfect.

i went easy on it, since i was riding up and down the street open turbo in my neighborhood :6

spun the tires in 2nd on wet pavement 8)

i got a little squirrelly

you're a moron, and it would not do that if you gave it full throttle in a straight line.

ps: go to hell dumbass

I may be a lot of things, but on wet pavement from a mid throttle 2nd gear cruise, snap to wot in a straight line, it would spin the tires without any problem. This is with me centered on the quad no front brake or clutching it, or silly tricks like that. Dry pavement it would just accelerate, no drama of any sort.

bald tires with oil on them?

don't ---- with me i've been around and ridden 400exs and they won't even spin the tires in dirt with tires with tread on them.

my raptor stock would not spin the tires in 1st or 2nd on wet pavement in a straight line and it makes about 50hp stock. 400ex makes in the 20s

Having owned a sled that dynoed 172hp at the track, I can say there are still times when you want more.

So how do these things work i know nothing about them and the first thing i wonder is how do you control the Fuel or tune it?

right now, you can run raptors up to ~80hp with the stock computer and injector, it has a MAP sensor similar to hondas.

you can up the fuel pressure to get a little extra gas.

i have a fuel pressure regulator on it and its at the stock fuel pressure. i might bump it up from 46 to 55ish just to be safe.

i have a PCIII usb on order so i can tune it.

around 90-100hp clutch starts to slip so...:)

Re: twin turbo raptor 700

PC3's run RPM spesific. This is going to be like doing surgery with a butter knife. I'm still on YOUR team for this one though regardless of our political/racial/moral views.

J-SMITH69 02-13-2009 06:01 AM

Re: twin turbo raptor 700

there is no racial prejudice here. to me you are all equally worthless.

i was wrong about the running it to 80hp stock, you can run it to ~80hp w/ the stock fuel pressure you still need to tune it.

straight up +100% on the pciii is what i need to run in the mid/high range.

i'm going to get the pciii, multi-function hub, gm 1 bar map sensor... then i can tune the full range of vacuum/boost/rpm.

Sure you are. You're gonna be the master of boost with that 1 bar sensor.

i meant the 2.5bar sensor or whatever it is.

did you tune to 6psi? since ambient psi is 14.7 = 1bar.

That's pretty cool but somehow I imagined 4th and 5th gear pull-ups. In for vid once it's fueled properly.

imagine whatever you want its not magic.

if i wanted to do wheelies i could easily, if i want to go fast i won't let it wheelie.

i could do wheelies in 4th and 5th when it was stock if i sat on the back of the seat.

i don't understand why people come up with these weird standards for how to tell what is fast or not.
