turbonetics = ching chong meow
got this off another forum
It seems that they have gone to China for their labor... no wonder they've started to give unlimited lifetime warranties. I guess their trying to cover their asses w/ the poor quality control. ----- Original Message ----- From: HYPERLINK "mailto:turbozhang@yahoo.com.cn"?? ? Dear Brad: If you need,I can make tooling according your sample(casting No.402320428-11&20366.I've left one sample from your castings early. The tooling fee is US$1400.Is the inclined exit edge the later design? I've finished 200pcs of 21021, according P006648 the shipping date is 2nd Jan.2006.Also finished 50 pcs of 20428-6 and 50 pcs of 20684,according P05991,the shipping date is 9th Jan. 2006.Can I send a invoice to you?I'll ship by your carrier. But my carrier can give爕ou a good freight with door to door. Are you interested in? For 21278 (P006644),according your drawing, the shaft thread is 5/16-18UNF-2A.But all threads for America Standard are 3A.Maybe 2A is a mistake? I received 200 pcs of castings on 22nd Dec.But I should finish them on 16th Jan. according P006644.The time is very urgent. According 爕our 21199 sample, the thread is 5/16-24 -right hand. But most shaft thread is left hand.Should I爉ake the right hand thread according the sample? Best regards! Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
if its cheaper and they keep replacing the turbo, fine with me
unless of course they get destroyed every few weeks |
Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
ill never buy a turbonetics again, bought a REAL turbonetics 60/48 off ebay pre oiled it drove around fine (put on tuesday went to tune friday) drove about an hour to omaha to have a buddy tune it and third pull on the dyno at only 16 psi the ------- internal shaft shattered and threw chunks into the cold side charge and ----, completly blown, this was on a built z6 and was running correct oil pressure to it, guy who tuned it said the same thing "it's happened before" he said he'd never personally run anything made by turbonetics, and this is coming from a reputable shop owner

In an ideal world, I'd check birth certificates with all of my purchases. It's kinda too complicated to do though.

Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
its not just turbonetics. a lot of top name maufactures have parts made overseas and shipped here. now assembly and quality control is another story. ---- i would rock a turbonetics 100 times over before a masterpower or xs power.

Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
i think the CHRA's are the iimportant part when it comes to who the manufacturer and assembler is. wheels and housings are kinda hard to ---- up unless you go WAY cheap.
i doubt turbonetics would go total sweat shop style. geting cheaper rates from china or thailand is just business. |

Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
there is a difference in some NC hillbilly guy(no offense JD) trying to make a buck of suckers than a reputable company outsourcing parts. if turbonetics wants to fork out the dough i'm sure they will get a better product than SSchingchong and XSpower who just want to seel ---- as cheap as possible

Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
Chinese manufacturers are getting better, not amazing, but definitely better.
Given 95% of all electronics are made in china these days, it doesn't surprise me that heavier industry is moving in as well. Perhaps a nsfw in the title thanks to those bigass titties. |

Here we go complaining about ---- being outsourced again but we are all to cheap to pay for something made in our own country by people we know. ::) Then we complain about quality being shity. ::) ::)

Re: turbonetics = ching chong meow
I heard the "Brian Crower" stuff is all made in china, whereas the "Crower" stuff is still made here.
It'll be interesting to see what happens 20 years from now with all this outsourcing... -josh- |

It'll be interesting to see what happens 20 years from now with all this outsourcing... -josh- I know for a fact the crower stuff is still made here they have had the equipment to do so for 30+years Brian crower on the other hand Um i wouldnt say yes or no. From my understanding old man crower kicked out the kid cause he was a roiding freak who expected the world because of his dad Has far has outsourcing this stuff is going to continue. Certain things will never be built in china like complete cars but basic casting of manifolds, suspension etc this stuff is made there for a reason. Americans have gotten way to cheap its really our fault all this happening. Mostly all the honda parts world in 5 years will be cheap china parts that break thats why I have already started in my new passion. More legit shops will just walk away from the honda world imo. The crowd gets worse each year and the china parts get cheaper and worse regardless of 2 ssauto manifolds lasting. |
