Re:TurboCalculator.com
well i just want some info cause they say that they ship fast but i ordered my turbo from them 2 weeks ago and still nothing..
I emailed them and they replied saying that my turbo is in the Lineup to be built. They built the turbo from scratch with the specs you wants, so its as close as you can be to getting a fully brand new one..
How long does it takes to assemble a turbo?

Re:TurboCalculator.com
I was curious after reading your post, so went to check out their site.
- First thing I noticed was that they have a 1-877 phone number, which says they are serious enough to invest in a real business number.
- Second thing I noticed was that their copyright on the website says 2003-2004, which means they have not been online in a serious fashion for very long.
- Third thing was that I could not find a physical address for them on their website. To me, the lack of a physical address means that they probably do not have a shop or physcial business location. From this I would assume that they are probably a very small business, maybe with only the owner, or owner and spouse running the entire show. It's probably a software programmer/mechanical engineer, who has an interest in turbochargers, who wrote a program and turned it into a side business. (I say this because their site seems to be more focused on selling their software, than selling turbos...)
He/She may also be rebuilding turbochargers, but I would almost bet that they provided your specifications to their closest Garrett (or other) rebuilder, who is actually building your turbo.
I realize that you have already purchased your turbo, but I would offer the following suggestions for the future.
You are part of the HMT community, who are some of the most discerning turbo folks on the planet. We have to be, we can't afford any other way! Always feel free to ask our opinion. Once we have berated you for a few minutes, posted off topic, and inserted some **** in your thread, someone will provide you with the information you need! In this case, you could have asked for recomendations for a turbo vendor.
Personally, I would have recommended CheapTurbos.com, that guy knows his stuff, and deals with the same Garrett vendor/rebuilder that I do. (No I don't yet sell turbos).
Jeez, I must be felling a bit wordy this morning. Sorry !

Re:TurboCalculator.com
''friday''DAM CRAIG''friday'' LMAO. thats exactly how it is. but yeah, he is right. I bet its a home based business, and you will probably get a really quality product, but it will just take some time
--I have some friends who started like this and now they are a multi-million dollar business. 3 years ago, they were in the basement, now they employ about 8 people, and in 2006 they are moving to a wharehouse. www.cyclegadgets.com --thats hopefully where I will be working as a 'gadget installer' when im done with the Marine Corps. WOW did I get off subject.
anyways, your turbo will probably be a really quality, as I have always delt with smaller places like that and they seem to take a little more pride in there work. I would bug them till you get a response and go from there. the old saying though 'you cant ruch perfection' and because you bought from a place like that, you have to expect a little delay. I would get in contact with them and just check the status of your order, and check up on it like every 5 days or so...
