Well, I set this day up under the impression I would have my ls/vtec in and making a base map for it.. but with recent events (coughhoodwindowcough) it wasnt going to happen. So Dustin (turbohf) & Jay (local hardcore honda guy) wanted to dyno their cars.
Up first was dustin 88 Crx HF B18a Turbo
Apparently Mike @ little monsters did have any staff on hand today so I had to help out with dynoing (driving the cars) fun stuff =)
Ended up pulling 205hp / 225tq @ 10psi We had some serious problems tuning dustins mid range fuel area, its like 8 pulls of no changes, then it was incredibly fat. So we tried to start over, but it just wasnt happening. I'd like to spend more time on the dyno with his car, I think its very capable of 225-250hp range with some good tuning, and a more adjustable fuel system.
hah, its all good not to many crx's around here with 225lb tq at 4000rpms dude! Bet its a blast to drive in the rain!
Next up was Jay (local honda -----) Jays had various setups, Turbo single cams with HMT setups, now he's cursed, he has the "ALL MOTOR" bug in his system, haha
Jays car 90 Crx Si:
JDM B16a Engine
JDM S1 Tranny
4-2-1 Header
Custom Intake
Custom valve cover, :P
ITR Cams
Skunk2 Intake manifold
2.5 Custom Exhaust
AEM Cam Gears
Custom leed OBD0 Engine managment, (coughnicewallpapercough)
Best ET (untuned) 14.0 @ 100 mission raceways
I think Jay baselined at 162whp with some pretty unfriendly Air fuel #'s mainly sitting in the high's 14's and low 15's
Dave doing nice work on the tuning, got the Air fuel to a nice 12.7 ~ 13.1 range, Had about 10 runs and we got it up to 171hp / 115tq
Just took a quick snap of this... this is Brians Chevelle, put down mid 500whp and runs low 10's.
Special thanks to Mike @ little monsters, I think he had forgot we had this day planned but ended up doing it anyways. Thanks agian dude
LOL, and yes... as always the after dinner party at the local old home, (AKA Royal Fork/OCB) we saw a old guy zip locking left overs and taking them home, classic!
I took advantage of the all you can eat ice cream
Good times guys,
Jeff

Re:Hmt @ the Dyno... w/ NA Love
Fun day. A bit of a mystery on your car Dustin, but still some good solid power there. Was interesting to see how the .63 spooled on the 1.8, about as fast as a .48 on a B16. Suprisingly quick.
Had fun tuning Jay's car, as it was my first time dyno tuning someone elses car. Very happy with the results. Last few pulls was a rock steady 13.0-13.2 a/f after vtec.
Heres Jays dyno-graph:
mmmmm, flat torque line
Video coming soon.
