turbo spool question

How long will a .60/.63 GT30r turbo to get to full boost on a D16y8 motor? Will it even spool up today or next week?

Re: turbo spool question

If you are using that turbo I am going to guess you have a built engine. However, after thinking "this guy has a built engine, surely he knows what turbo to use" I came to the conclusion you do NOT have a built engine nor do you have any idea what sort of question you are asking.

No that thing will spool way the ---- up in the revs. Spray it if anything I have seen larger turboes used on a D-series for HIGH HP fully built drag monsters.

Re: turbo spool question

The bottom end is built, but not the head. I have edelbrock intake and thats it. IT starts spooling about 3500 rpm, but I have not brought it to redline yet.
