Since when are we suppose to "Build" or bottom ends? If you would read hmt you would know almost 90% of us are using stock internals. If tuned conservitivly their should be no problem.

Lets take an example.. Beerbong, is making 216whp on a bone stock d16z6 w/ 100k miles. His tune is very conservitive running 10psi.

But maybe he should of built all of his internals first, because all he is doing is wasting cash right? Just like all of us ::)

Re:turbo setup preview

no man u got it all wrong

hes got loads of money in there(skunk2, fidanza, fuel rail) but no built bottom end which i dought will make a major difference in the maximum amount of power his engine can take

Re:turbo setup preview

Ravage there nothing wrong boosting a non built block. My old crx still drives my dad to work everyday reliably every day.6 months ago it was eating 15lbs on a oem zc bottem end and what.Nice setup scott

Re:turbo setup preview

I wouldnt say loads of money.. I would say he's going to make the best out of his setup.

"i hope ur internals are built or ur just wasting ur cash"
When I see something like this, it makes me wonder what else of your 800 posts have been like. Their is no reason to make a person feel like they are wasting their time just because they wanted to buy good ----.

Ravage70 05-23-2004 05:39 PM

Re:turbo setup preview

all im saying is that i would have bought different items with the same amount of money

but hey thats just me

Scottsi 05-23-2004 05:44 PM

Re:turbo setup preview

i know im not wasting my time, im way smarter than ravages dumbass and im only 17 ----, this isnt a bad setup for someone who cant legally vote, and when i get enough money i AM going to build the head, and i will build the bottom end, also you dont know how much i spent on this setup, that manifold cost me 110 shipped, the flywheel 200, the intake manifold 200 and the turbo 285 brand new shipped, the clutch cost me 175 yada yada yada, i dont waste money i make the best of it.

Ravage70 05-23-2004 05:50 PM

Re:turbo setup preview

u are obviously not smarter than i am if u wasted 1000 bucks for items thatll give u the same resulting hp that ur engine can handle

u guys r going crazy on me
understand the logical side and then ull understand my point

Re:turbo setup preview

well, all i have to say is look ar what you need to finish your setup, its odd how paint is the second thing needed to finish a turbo setup, and how block posts will only get you so far, if you were smart you'd go with a sleeved block. ok so i have 1000 dollars into boltons, these boltons will give me way more power fully built than stock, yes i know its stock right now but when it is built i wont have to go out and buy the little ---- cuz ive already done it. Look at my logical side, i plan things out, you go on impluse. now backaway from my thread

Ravage70 05-23-2004 06:05 PM

Re:turbo setup preview

paint has nothing to do with a turbo system
its for my body

pay for my sleeves and ill be glad to get them
