turbo saturn sc2 for cheap

First off im new to the forum, checked out the site and read a lil to digest some new knowledge. picked up a 00 sc2 cheap and am looking to do some noticeable power mods. looking to turbo/intercool it for fairly cheap. found some engine management, low impedance injectors, and other mods to do the turbo setup. but as far as manifold goes i have hit a brick wall. not to sure what other vehicle manifolds will port match as well as stud match my stock manifold. other than that i could use some good suggestions on a turbo to go with. not looking for lag and plan on running around 10 psi on my daily driver. plumbing isnt much of a problem and intercooler choices arent either. friend of mine says someone here builds custom ic's to personal dimensions. well thats my story for now hope to hear some positive feedback from any/everyone as to where i stand.

I have a feeling that 10 psi isn't going to be "cheap". As far as the manifold goes, get a used one for your car at a junk yard, and have a machine shop weld you up something.

I have to agree with civic .....10 psi isn't cheap.

at least 1500 for 10lbs. management is key.

Hey 1SloSC2, welcom to HMT. I can custom make you an intercooler for your Saturn no problem, check out our web site at www.speedpartsrus.com . Your 2000 Saturn has the 9 bolt manifold with the air tube so no other manifold will interchange. The older Saturns had a 5 bolt manifold, the Mitsubishi Eclipse manifold would work on those but I don't think it will fit you head, eather way you had to lose AC. You can cut your pre cat off your stock manifold and weld on an adapter flange, I have done that and was able to keep the AC.

$1500 is a budget i can deal with....there are kits available for the sc2 for around $3500 but you can run 6-8 psi. already eliminated ac.....hate it anyways makes the car a slug when in use. any suggestions on a turbo? my friend around town has a altima project that is unfinished. ive been trying to beat him out of his sr20det manifold turbo and downpipe. id just to have to modify the piping a lil bit, and put my own plate on to match exhaust ports.....which doesnt seem to bad. if he wont let go of his manifold and turbo what would be a good turbo to go with, with minimal lag and good pull all the way to redline?

if you can find a flange for your head the easiest thing to do would be to weld that flange onto a premade manifold for any car with the same runner spacing as your car.
