My opinion

You will love the site, untill everyone makes fun of your retarted post. First off you are member 1 million asking how many vtak psi you can run. Seccond you should run at least 24psi on stock boost or you won't feel anything. Third I am amazed you are new to the site....You should put a JDM turbo on your JDMhatch

Re: turbo question

it doesnt matter how much boost you run , its your choice. :6
24psi u might as well sort out your coffin before you race it .
welcome to hmt . 8)

Re: turbo question

why are you shooting for psi? why not shoot for hp, ask how much hp is safe to run on stock internals, different turbos puts out different hpi at the same boost levels (psi)

(so to rewrite you question: how much hp would be safe to run on a stock ls vtec? and what would I need to accomplish this? )
whats your turbo setup plans what turbo you plan to use, what ems?

Re: turbo question

all depends on who tunes it.

we've run 15lbs without issues, but have seen people melt ---- at 5psi.

8-10 is the norm.

Re: turbo question

basically it comes down to horsepower and tuning, not necessarily psi alone

If you aren't that ------- stupid, tell us exactly how ------- stupid you are, and I'll tell you everything you need to know.

BTW, welcome to HMT... enjoy being flamebait until the next n00b strolls along and we leave you alone so we can break him in real good.

posted above is the turbo im goin to use i want at least 250/300 hp with a built head i literally just bought off a friend what turbo set up should i use to reach my 250/300+ goal

Tom-Guy 01-14-2006 01:56 AM

Re: turbo question

Define built head.

Small turbines are as bad as small compressors... they both heat the engine and cause it to destroy itself from thermal load. For your usual LS, .54+ trim T3/T04E with stage 3 turbine wheel and .63 AR housing.

FOr 250-300... you could probably run one of the T04B hybrids from westcoast-turbo.com

Yeah, he's pretty good for a n00b, isn't he?

I'd accept this n00b as my brother, except for the JDM uselessness.
