Turbo Project finally done thanks HMT

Well after about 2 years of research, and some personal problems I finally have finished my HMT setup, and I need to thank every single one of you that helped out, and the big guys that created this site.
well here are few pictures of the car. I do have one problem, probably boost leaking, It boosted 5 psi, I have to double check all the pipes, but I'm just really happy right now.

this was the original project car

and this SOHC Vtec ZC for $200

I will have more pictures of the finished car with the bumper on later, It's been lots of fun and I just can't wait to get this car running great, I test drove it last nigth and it was just ------- awesome, worth the time and money, and freezing my ass off, it was like 40 degrees this weekend in FL most of the night. But again Thanks HMT, any comments, questions, whatever let me know. I'm going to post the problems I have in the FI forum
thanks again
David ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Funny how things work out sometimes.. the 'fast looking' car is slow and the 'slow looking' car is fast... go figure.

what flavor of turbo and management do you have? it looks awesome, hopefully you don't have to butcher your bumper too much.

It's an IHI RHB5 with FMU, stock injectors and fuel pump, check valves.
Yes I know I know, not the best, but it works, I will be upgrading to 450's and AFC soon, but most of the stuff I got was either free, or cheap.

yea the set up looks great man, just to try and help you out... first check all your piping because it could just be a loose coupler... most likely not... try changing ur vaccum source for your wastegate.. ive had much better results with the brake booster vac source.... hit me up if you have any other questions, i used to run a similar set up

Man, that's what it's all about. I know the day I finish my project, I'll have a video of me doing some stupid dance or something. Nice job. Another HMT success story. :)

i'm using the same turbo... hey would a big radiator hose probably 2 - 2.25 inch piping work from the turbo to the intercooler fine? the turbo outlet is like right by the crossmember.. so how did you do that without crimping the air in the radiator hose, or i should say what did you use to make a 90 degree bend from there?

Nice work. There's nothing like the feeling when you finish your first HMT turbo setup. :)

FMU's get alot of flak, but the ---- works.

Hell yeah, It feels awesome, and now I'm the ---- cause i did it myself not like some other fucks that paid $4grand for it. The radiator hose was cut to fit, I went to the parts store and asked to go to the back room then I picked a couple of hoses and cut the 90s I wanted to use and then used a small pices of pipe to clamped them together. So it goes back with a 90, then up with a 90, then I have a U to go to the turbo. I'll take more pic's.

I put on the bumper and took it out for a spin, Now I have no downpipe on, it's just the little stock o2 housing, ran great, Still 5psi, but feels great, but now I see how bad I need new brakes, ---- the car feels like it's going to break an axle when I break, must be bad rotors or something, but will get fixed this weekend.
Thanks for all you comments
