the ---- brown bomber got a newer style torker II single plane manifold and a 650 holley carb tonight. and a little sprucin up in the engine bay. pics tomarrow.

hopefully going to start the turbo project within 2 weeks.
woa, what the ---- is your problem?
all i said is unless you absalutely (i know spelling) have to have an automatic than stick is always better (you have more controll over the power to the ground, more ratios so there is always the right gear for anywhere, better gas milage, and it put's more of the power from the engine to the ground (i think in general a manual tranny and driveline eats up about 8-10% of the hp from the crank to the wheels and an auto tranny eats up like 12-15% (thats 4-7% more wheel hp and more power is always better)
just because it's a truck dosen't mean it can only be auto i have an s10 that is stick and guess what it's a 5speed and dose just fine and i even pull a landscaping trailer with it in the summer (tho the trailer only weighs like 1800lbs with the mowers, but hey the truck can't weigh more than 3000lbs itself it's a small truck)

just shutup you stupid ******. goddamn you are clueless.

a drivetrain can't take PERCENTAGES of power, thats IDIOTIC. the drivetrain in the truck in 2wd probably robs 100hp, and 75hp with a manual.

s10 is not a full sized truck driving a full sized truck with a manual gearbox is ------- lame and i've done it before. IT SUCKS

are you a ------- beaner? seriously? go back to mexico paco

no im white and if you are loosing 75-100hp through drivetrain loss in your car you should take your foot off the brake
i have dynoed menny cars (stock and modified) and in my experence you loose 8-10% hp with stick and 12-15% hp with an auto tranny
such as a 260hp solstice gxp (260 factory rated so it's at the crank) makes 220whp (a 40hp loss or a 15% loss) http://youtube.com/watch?v=PKy4hOP2OOc
or a stock 2.2L automatic cobalt (rated at 145 at the crank) makes 130 at the wheels (15hp loss or a 10% loss) http://youtube.com/watch?v=D-DLS4Kw1ps

if you knew anything you would understand that you don't loose 100hp throught the tranny to the whees (if so "the ---- brown bomber" would only have about 80whp but it has about 130-150whp (and about 180-200 at the cank) but no, you think that because it's american that the 150 at the wheels means 350 at the engine. nope!
ur an arrogant idiot that needs to do some learning

it depends on the drivetrain you stupid ----.

the brown bomber has a TH400 transmission, a known power gobber compared to a TH350 or 700r4. but its also more durable.

the driveshaft is heavy, the rear end is big and heavy. it robs at least 100hp from the crank. and its very doubtful that the brown bomber makes 150whp. very doubtful

you are CLUELESS.
