TURBO AND NOS??

Re:TURBO AND NOS??
if you are running turbo, you are running it for a reason, and should have known when you decided to go turbo that there was some lag to it. sometimes a benifit, sometimes a hinder. but if you want low rev boost, sell the turbo and get a supercharger.
and if you just want more peak power, just turn up the boost.
the way i see it, an average sized turbocharger can easily provide more power than your engine can handle. so what is the point in using more than one form of hp booster.

Re:TURBO AND NOS??
Turboboy I believe you are correct.. and as far as running nos with turbo... it will spool quicker with a small like 25 shot or so.. but like someone said.. u cant spray until 3000 rpms and u will already be spooled up by then... not worth it to me.. espeically on d series motors.. i might consider it on a full drap app.. otherwise i would just up the boost

Re:TURBO AND NOS??
well if you have the engine revved, it will be spinning the turbo. maybe not making boost, but it will be spinning it. so when the wastegate closes the turbine will already be spinning faster than if you were at idle.

Re:TURBO AND NOS??
indeed, the turbo is slightly spooling when launching but not making boost since their is no load on the engine. I launch at 5-7000rpms with a rev cut limiter.
Stall convertors would be really nice for spooling a turbo on the line.

Re:TURBO AND NOS??
I sprayed my civic at 1500RPMs for 9 bottles... But I don't see why it is needed with a turbo.. Pretty much ANY turbo is capable of making more Wheel horse power than a D-series block can handle.. IE: the tiny DSM T-25 can make 275ish WHP, and the honda rods break around 200-220hp.. And the T-25 has good spool-up too..
If the turbos weren't making enough air, then I'd say go fill the bottle, but I can't think of any turbos that couldn't max the D-series rods out..
200hp with 14psi is the same as 200hp with 7psi with a 70shot as far as your block is concerned... So turn the boost up, just make sure your engine is ready for it..

Awww, shucks!!! Bwahahaha..
Anyways, about that boost spool up thing. You can spool it up with a manual by using the e brake and releasing the clutch to put a load on the motor until you launch. This will spool your turbo and create boost. Keep the rpms above say 3000 while releasing the clutch slowly until you are reading boost. Then when you are ready to launch, just drop the clutch and release the e brake.
