Turbo installed and need help!

Ok, heres the deal, I got all my stuff installed finally, took a month and a half, but any ways heres the deal; Im on the highway and i start to hear this noise like a go cart without a muffler. Its getting louder and louder and i decide to go back to my friends house to see whats up. Come to find out that my damn adapter plate has come loose. Well we tighten it up and everything is fine untill today when it does it again! I can feel that air coming out of the exhaust manifold. Does anybody have info on how to fix this problem ???
We torked the top bolts and it still leaks so i guess it the bolts on the under side that are coming loose now.
Another problem im having is the turbo is leaking oil. We popped off the charge pipe and there was some oil in the pipe. How long can i run like this until i should think about getting a new turbo. Will it hurt anything? All feedback will be greatly appreciated!

well i think i just found the problem, the 4 bolts that actually hold the turbo to the addapter plate were almost falling off. i guess i should give the guy that i bought the setup from a little call and ask why the hell he didnt torque those better. anybody know of a product that i can use to keep those damn things tight?

about the oil leakage, im not a professional but if you have oil leaking into your pipes, its gonna suck up into your intake manifold. which will lead to major problems.

A little oil isn't a huge deal, most junkyard turbos do leak a little bit. IMO, I don't start worrying until the exhaust starts smoking....

High-temp locktite works great, I've used it on my exhaust manifold nuts before. Go ahead and use it.

I got the manifold problem solved and now theres a new problem. The oil return line started to leak on the way home and smoke was going all over the ------- place. I had to ride home trying to not let the turbo spool. when it did it made these noises like a blow off valve but it was coming from the turbo! Anybody have any idea ??? Im pissed as hell that im having all these problems and i just got my ---- back 2 days ago.

About that last sound its making, is your manifold and ur downpipe connected correctly? Also, do you have a hole in your downpipe? I would check the exhaust system for that "blow off valve" sound. Check close to the turbo(ie. downpipe)

Welcome to the world of modifcations.. ---- happens all the time dude...

Make sure the shaft play is still ok, hopfully the fins arnt hitting the housing, and the noise you might be hearing is compressor surge.

Re:Turbo installed and need help!

hopefully it is just compressor surge. Im using the RHB5, which from what ive read, other users expierence the same problem with their turbo. Im going to take the whole setup off the car this weekend and try to repair the oil leak from the return line and apply locktite to the bolts on the adapter plate.
