well the turbo or someshit was making some scary noises so i slapped my 4dr together (in the process stealing parts from the CRX like: boost gauge, distributor, PLX, small ----...).

started off by pulling off the turbo...

so the CRX is down...HEY I HAVE AN IDEA! lets put a VTEC head on it!!!

here she is sitting in the back of the beater getting ready for the ride over to the machine shop for a couple new valves :-X and a couple angles on them while we are at it...

the head is a PR3 from a 92 Integra GSR w/B17A1

umm, yeah ghetto modified B17/B16 OBD0 style manifold... i hate that ------ cold idle valve thing Honda desided to put on the intake manifold so i will be bypassing it. oh and i will be eliminating heat (all the coolant lines) from the manifold to keep intake temps lower. so anyway just fill the holes with...you guessed it JB Weld :-*
i will be getting a custom intake manifold in the future...

thats it for now... i will keep you updated...

btw this is the reason for the trip to the machine shop...i didnt do it, it came like that...and got a hell of a deal...

the dealerships are smokin some wierd crack...valve steam seals: intakes $1.50ish each, exhaust $5.30ish each... i expect them to be pricey but wtf? there is a 4 dollar difference on those bastards...

would that be the same Dr. Frank that doesnt awnser his phone?? i took the head to AMS today with some valves and a 1/8th plug, he said it was no problem... 4 angle/new valves, oil line, some gaskets, new turbo.....---- i have a ways to go...

Dr.Frank had a medical emergency that consisted of broken ring lands :o , James does good work at AMS. be sure to open up the alignment dowls, or get those fancy dowls from GE.

head fresh from the machine shop. fixed the valves (was accually 3 burnt valves, one was pitted bad on the seating surface :-\) put the plug in the oil hole, and gave her a flat surfacing...

still have a while to go, i will be broke agian cuz i found some ITR cams and i am not gonna let them go. also im gonna buy a new ITR oil pump (unless i can find a good used one?), ARP rod bolts, and Golden Eagle dowel pins, plus a new head and valve cover gaskets....---- i want to drive my car again.... :-\

did you find anything else about that spring in the oil pump that makes it an uber pump? if I can get some cheap ass b-series pump and throw that spring in there I'ma go that way. we can be LS/VTEC friends.

nope havent looked into it anymore. im getting a B16 pump at a good price ;) so im covered...

also ordered my rod bolts and pins tonight...oh and an AN-R intake manifold gasket/heatsheild thing... tomarrow i will get my cams ;D .... ---- i need a new turbo :-\

thanks for the link homeboy. when it comes down to it, and my budget is drying up, I'll probably just use hi-temp red silicone for all my gaskets, even the head gasket if I get desperate.

i did all my ls/vtec setups for cheap, and i did them right with ge dowels and arp rod bolts.... ran a 13.700 @100 on a stock ls bottome end (arp bolts and gsr oil pump) with gsr head.

Just make sure they have oil.. lol ::)

And enlarging the dowl holes in the head a few mm's doesnt hurt a thing, so.. your choice 25 dollar adapters from GE or about 30 seconds with a drill bit. No difference

Dustin, I measured the GSR and B16 pressure relief spring and they are the same. I fixed my problem with my car, so I dont need that oil pump. Your more than welcome to use it.

Btw, you got hooked up on those cams ;) Josh ross called me like 30 mins after you left, haha.

stock? well im using ARP rod bolts (and headstuds). aiming for 250hp on my 60/63 T3 turbo, 300+ if i accually buy a real turbo...
