Turbo on front wheel drive
How do you guys find it? I have never driven a front wheel drive turbo myself. I hear it kinda sucks because of the torque steer and you have to be carefull about having too much throttle in the corners. ;D
Gimme some opinions guys! |
Re:Turbo on front wheel drive
Bah.. I like front wheel drives.. FR Guy, "Oooo I can spin my tires at 65mph when I drop to 2nd" FF Guy, "Ya, well, spin try that with a 300lbs engine over your drive axles.."
Torque steer? Learn to drive. It's all part of the game. When I .25mi, I almost ALWAYS beat the FRs off the line. My slicks bite faster. It's all about knowing how to drive. Now that I'm learning about boost, we'll have to see how screwed up my driving techniques get. Hahah.. ESPECIALLY in autoX. Seeing as though I'm turbo'd, I'll be stuck in SM with the big v8s. Sheesh.. Oh well, it's all about suspension baby, ya! |
Re:Turbo on front wheel drive
thats is true, a good suspension setup makes the difference between winning or losing.

Re:Turbo on front wheel drive
That is the whole point, fwd with alot of horsepower is a challenge, especially with traction and torque steer issues.
I love it.. :) Jeff |
Re:Turbo on front wheel drive
I`ll stick with the rear wheel drive.I like the feel an you at least still have some control when you hanging it out sideways,Its all in the throttle.Get your traction down Jeff cuz ill be there this year.
