Re:Turbo deliema

dont show him too crazy of setups, because then he will say that it wont last.. like a greddy kit will last.

just show him.. good quality setups.

you could go to honda tech and get some pics from there, there are some pretty 'high dollar' lookin setups.

but in the end.. its like.. whats the difference.. a apexi exhaust that is 2.5" or.. a 2.5" exhaust made by a custom exhaust shop. if they are both exactly the same, (madrel bent) and same muffler.. what makes one better than the other?

greddy, edle.. etc.. all had to start somewhere and 'homemake' their kits.. they just dont appear as production..

don't show him the kits from the turbo page, they are ghetto :D :P

j/k, try to find some setups that look NICE and is HMT. Show him Jeff's ex-built ZC setup, that was hot. Maybe he'll buy you a crazy sidewinder-almost-hitting-the-fender-big-egual-length-manifold. ;)

Re:Turbo deliema

for $1100 you could do a hell of a hmt kit. then snag $1200 from your pop and get some forged goodies :P

Yeah, my mom didn't like when I worked on my car at her house. Her ex husband was a mechanic, and so she kinda disliked that whole wrenching on your car type of thing.

I told her flat out what I was doing, I was piecing together a kit. It was my money, my car, and that I wanted to do it because a) It made my car faster and B) I wanted to fab up a kit, something thatImade, not some bullshit kit where you spend extra money to get the "Greddy" name. ---- that, ---- someone else doing your work.

Explain to your dad that the hardware is very simple. You really can't ---- up mounting the turbocharger, mounting the intercooler, that ---- can't ---- your car up. It's all in the electronics, and you'll be better off with Uberdata.

If your dad knows a few things about imports, or cars in general, he'll understand that it's a lot better to have a fully programable system than a piggyback system.

---- pre made ----.
