turbo deisel ef hatch?

Re: turbo deisel ef hatch?
Some fuel systems are destroyed by biodiesel. Pumps become clogged, etc. Talk to several people who have done the conversion on your make car first, please.
Also, I did not know anything from the 80's or 90's Civics came diesel... details pls!!11

Re: turbo deisel ef hatch?
i dont have any of the details, i was watching dirty jobs with mike rowe on tv and they were doing something about a bio deasil truck, in the end it came out to about 55 cents a gallon and it got like 45 mpg. on boost it would probably get about 30, but 30 mpg on a boosted car that is decent quick as a daily driver (or maybe even just becuase ive never seen anybody do it and i want it as my project car. as far as i know, im the only one who has thought of it). i think it would be badass. i would probably need the motor mounts. i have a friend who welds aluminum so i can probably get away with custom mounts and linkages if there isn't an oem solution to it. but what i want to know is, is it possible? i know of a couple importers for jdm motors (nipponmotors.com) but i can't seem to find any for UK spec engines. as far as i know there isn't a turbo deasil jdm motor. i would really prefer a 1.5 - 1.7, but i wouldn't mind a different size. hopefully stick to a d series. if its a d series i would just bolt on an ef cable si tranny and hope the rest of the mounts work. that covers shift linkages too. it would probably be cheaper to make an adapter plate from the tranny to the motor if it doesn't fit than completely make new mounts if i had to use the turbo deasil tranny. so i could still use stock axles and motor mounts, shift linkages (all the bitch ---- about an ef). so hows it sound? if anybody finds something on this motor that seems worthwhile, post it up.

Re: turbo deisel ef hatch?
So there is no Honduh diesel of that year? Completely gay.
Boost does not decrease diesel efficiency, since you don't need to run them rich. Too much fuel is what melts a diesel down... but you won't hurt one boosting 30 psi on a stock non-turbo pump + injectors.
Sticking a clockwise rotating engine to a counterclockwise rotating Honduh transmission is not the way to go FTW.

Could be wrong.

i know they never came in an ef, but i remember seeing a post about a turbo deasil honda on here a while ago. i searched but couldn't find it. i was pretty sure it was from the UK but i could be wrong. someone has to know where it is so i can try to find an importer. a turbo deasil ef hatch is badass
