He's only running 12.5psi with built internals? What is he using for fuel management?

Defintely need to turn the boost up. A built d-series turbo should be smoking LS1's from a roll and a dead stop. I am pretty close to beating LS1's from a dead stop and my Z6 is completely stock (also and eg coupe running 10 psi). I do have a quaife limited slip and drag radials to help me though.

A guy in my town has a modded 97 SS camaro (LS1) and we raced a while back when I was just learning how to launch/drag race. I was running 8-9ish psi then, and from a dead stop he would get the hole shot, but when I hit third gear we were pretty even and I would slightly pull on him on the top end. I was pretty much right on his bumper (no more than a car behind), but there wasn't enough time for me to catch up. I never raced him from a roll, but I am guessing if it was that close from a stop I wouldn't have a problem beating him.

Last time at the track I raced a trans am also and he was pretty suprised how well my car did. He got the hole shot and I was playing catch up the whole time. It was a pretty good race, I ended up running 13.7 and he ran a 13.4... damn LS1's I just need a little race gas and more boost and I will show those LS1's what is up.
