If it is a turbo car then you know someone has been driven the snot out of it. Take that 3 grand and find a broke down civic and do a B16 swap, you will have better power and more reliability.

The B16 MAY be more reliable but a well built turbo kit would be cheaper and easier than the swap. With good fuel management there sholdnt be many problems. And the turboed D could make more power than the B16! Plus you get the raw sound of a BOV! :

thanks for all the support im getting it already..=)........its been running for 7 months without an intercooler at 7 psi with zdyne(really good stuff) then i might up boost it with premium gas , starion FMIC and water injection say 12 psi?....=) with constant check on egt of course =)

look at local classified's, i found one for $1200 and talked it down to $650. you have to find someone with no mechanical knowledge or idea of their resale value. just be an -------, call and if they say 1200 for their ---- *** rust bucked laugh at them and say thanks anyway.

never get one on ebay, try to get local classified's when you are on roadtrips, ask around etc.

then confuse the seller with ---- like how the timing belt could have broke and the engine is fucked, or is the a/c system converted to 134a? or this rust looks structural, a new windshield will be at least $500. etc etc. you just have to not have a concience.

if you do it right you make it sound like taking the car off their hands is doing them a favor.

i always look for one with small problems that makes them run shitty like headgasket, fucked fuel pump etc, easy ---- to fix. buying one that already runs will be expensive.

Looks like you may have already made a decision. But I know the car and Randy, both are here in Pittsburgh. He's taken great care of it and it has plenty of other parts on it that make it a great deal. I think he was including an extra A6 with it. Anyways the car runs fine and it's a good price.
