http://www.newbieforces.com/files/problem11112.JPG http://www.newbieforces.com/files/problem11113.JPG now you can see the oil return is in a weird position where it is not a straight shot back to the oil pan and will have to go through some kinks, and if i clock the compressor i'll ---- up the interal wastegate, does anyone think i'd be able to get away with this using the interal wastegate? i can weld if that makes a difference, maybe cut the acutator arm, clock the turbo and connect the wastegate with an extension piece? or thread it? something along those lines? |

the last picture is the turbo on the oppsite direction if you cant tell.

clock the center section then the compresor however you need to, then find another way to mount the wastegate. ---- with the bracket if you have to.

Loosen the exhaust and compressor side and clock the middle section..

it looks like u have the compressor where u want it to be. so just remove the bolts on the exhaust side and it doesnt look like your compressor has bolts that holds it to the center section. so theres probably a cir-clip. which your going to have to remove inorder to clock just the center section. and it seems as your wastegate is connected to your compressor. so just remove anything that connects the exhaust and the compressor to the center section and just clock the center section and you'll be good to go

Just be carefull couse there is a gasket on the compressor side.If you dont loosen it enough or if you tear it youll loose boost.I know that frome personal experience :P |
Re:turbo clocked all weird? can i get away with internal, (pics)
the problem when i turn it is that the wastegate arm will get stretched like its opening the valve when in fact it holding it shut and holding it shut tighter which would raise my boost level of the wastgate, im thinking im going to cut the arm, rotate the turbo and bend the arm from the actuator up a bit so it points to the other bar and put a threaded piece between them

nah....loosten the bolts on BOTH sides, and the center secton will be free floating, so that means with all the bolts loosened, the center secton should spin by itself, and you can leave the other two where they're at.
