I don't know about honda carbs but usually it is not possible to put a turbo on a car with carbs, because the carbs can't handle boost.

b.t.w. i have a turbocharged carb. car

I have seen hundreds of turbo charged carb VW motors. It is very possible. You just need an adapter plate made for the carb.

OK, assuming I make an adapter plate for the carb, What would be needed as far as fuel? I relize this is dependant on how much boost, but in general. I don't know much about carbs, any helpful inks?

not all carbs can be presurized... though you prob could do a draw though carb...

you'd prob be better off power wize and relibility to just upgrade to a newer motor... i don' tknow a lot about honda swaps but i know kits are avlibile for about any motor... if you even need a kit depending on what motor you use.

consider the options.

Yeah, if you build a box around the carb, you haven't really pressurized the carb because there is still equal pressure everywhere except for the lower pressure in the venturis. At the same time, boost will often go above fuel pressure and that kind of ----. Also, the jetting would be very hard to get right on, but you could get close. The perfect example of a turbo carb car is one I saw at the junkyard- Maserati Bi-Turbo. Thing musta hauled *** back in the day.

Well it seems as another interesting project has come about for this particular car. It is highly likely he will be getting wrecked ~89 prelude w/ . Now he's considering dropping this in, I think he's out of his damn mind but I'm in for it. (prepare for some mad-*** fabrication) :P

I'm still interested in any other info about turbo'd carbs....call it curiousity.
