My friend said that even if u get fmu, ecu, intercooler all that stuff to prevent ur engine from blowing up, putting turbo in ur car still gonna ---- up the engine later. Is that true my fellow racers?? holla back

Re:turbo
hahahahahahahahahahaha
read more my son, read good, long and hard. any engine will break eventually, if you rape it it will break even quicker, if it is mismanaged you can go ahead and pay for a new one now. ps, fmu=sucks and you don't need an fmu if you get your computer chipped (with the correct size injectors) |

Re:turbo
I think your best bet in your further ventures in cars would be to lease a factory vehicle covered with a warranty. Want a turbo? Lease a factory turbo car.
|
Re:turbo
i would recomend you get a mechanic to do anything to your car, ANYTHING, even putting on a cone filter !!
|
Re:turbo
Oh common people.
With proper tuning the car should run fine, even for years, there are factory turbo cars still running now after 10-15 years. Now if you plan on turboing a car, and rape it racing everyday or every single time you accelerate, then yes, it will affect your engine and might not last as long as it would being N/A. But If you are still going to be racing your car N/A, you will also abuse your engine and eventually blow it up. It's all relative. I rather blow my car being turbo and fast, than being N/A and slow. |
Re:turbo
racer. get a bicycle.

Re:turbo
Driving your stock, dealer issued car down the damn road it will still break. (Just look at the WRX tranny problems LOL thank god I didnt have enough money for one)
Yes pushing the limits of an engine's strength are going to reduce the life...but as long as its properly tuned (especially with a stand alone ecu) and doesnt have like 250k miles you shouldnt be the one to see the end Fellow racer |
Re:turbo
Me an my fellow racers follow the racer rulebook for turbos, here are some excerpts, follow these and your engine will last forever!:
- For every lb of boost, add one led lighted accessory. - Spinner hubcaps help to decrease turbo lag, necessary. -vinyl Nismo stickers on a Honda will help when trying to honor a Nissan warranty claim. - get as many headers as you can, the more the better. - if you can't afford a turbo, the sound simulator is an acceptable substitute. - "powered by KJHDKLJSFHK:SLDJHG:SDK" stickers will extend the life expentancy of all bearings in your car especially the muffler bearings. -buy only PepBoys brand headlight fluid. -big fake plastic intercoolers work waaaay better then a real one, because they are lighter. -if you paint everything in your car red and yellow, you can get Ferrari to sponser you as well as McDonalds. -smaller fuel injectors are better cause they are lighter and you get better gas mileage. -add 1 foot to your spoiler for every lb of boost and your car will reach altitudes of 40,000 ft with ease. Just follow these simple steps for engine longevity under boost. |
