TT Camaro...

I might be trading cars with my cousin (crx for camaro), he has a blown engine right now but has a 350 ready to be dropped in. Of course, this is homemadeturbo.com, right? I'm not going to leave it at just dropping it in and leave it NA. No. I want TT, biznatch. Anyone got any ideas on htf I would even do this? I think this would be a fun summer project. ;D Thanks for your input if you give it.

Re:TT Camaro...

I would say get the biggest ------- turbo that you can find and then a smaller turbo. That way you don't run out of boost at the end. V8s suck alot of air. Better to blow than suck.

Here is my input:

With so many members now on the board, the General Discussion is being flooded with worthless posts. This being one of them. :D
Will, I know you mean well, but it's just the wrong time for the "add your caption" posts.
AND EVERYONE QUIT POSTING THAT YOUR SETUP IS DONE WITHOUT POSTING PICTURES. IF YOU DON'T HAVE PICTURES, DON'T POST IT. WE DON'T CARE IF YOU WENT TO THE TRACK, WE JUST WANT PICTURES. IN FACT, DON'T SAY ---- IN YOUR POST, JUST POST THE MUUUUUUUTHAAAAFFFFUUKKKKKKKIINNN PICS. :D
It's really frustrating to have to go through 20 topics to find 5 that actually should have been posted. We're just getting to "post happy" these days.
Ok, I finally let it out. I hope my post brings some type of meaning to this thread. ::smacks the dog::

dont listen to crxrx7... PLEASE

have someone make some manfolds...
find two t3s of the same size. perferably two of the bigger ones...
make the piping use intercoolers if you want.
if its FI use a fmu. VERY FREAKIN EASY
if its carb'd build a box for the carb and pipe the two charges into the box. and of course you gotta get it running right with the right jets and what not.

crossfire injection sucks ass. are you sure the 350 isn't TPI?

i think only the weak sauce 305s are tbi/cross fire injection

Re:TT Camaro...

Get the camaro with two big turbo's. Make sure its not a 305 because there worthless. like random said crossfire injection sucks ass. regular tbi would not be able too keep up with the boost. Tpi would be good or you could run a holley carb with a box, but make sure you get the right power valve for boost or you'll blow the carb to ----.

Re:TT Camaro...

An 83 Camero is worth about $1500 in good shape, about $500 with a blown motor. I think you are geting the short end on this one. Unless your CRX is a total pile it should be worth more than that. Just sell it and buy a newer Z28 with a LT1.
