trying to go vtec on a non vtec motor ?/ boosting mini me ?
what do i need it i want to convert to vtec besides the vtec head and the computer ?

you need to do research, this topic has been covered quite a few times. I'm not sure if the mini-me is the same as the b-series frankensteins, but I'm sure it's similar.

i searched but no luck on boosting a mini me ? any ideas good bad or just keep my d15 and boost 8 lbs ?

do it...i did it and was impressed at the power ti made i think it liked 11 psi daily but i had it dyno tuned....d15b7

the bottom half of the motor is what counts with boost.
first u have to look at the diff between a vtec head and non all the vtec does is kick on a solnoid that makes the intake valves stretch open a little bit further when at a high rpm. If anything you'd think that boost + vtec would be pretty fun to play with (i wouldn't know I've never driven a honda with the combination of the two). |
