tration bar flange kits, i need input on what you want for the tabs. poll inside
i'm going to add some tie rod flanges to offer with the traction bar flanges so it would be a diy kit, customers would only need to source the 2" pipe and the tie rods and links for the lca's. i want to know what everyone would buy for the tie rod flanges... so options are pictured below. thanks for the input!
pictures are not my stuff: sandwich flanges like this but radiused to match the 2" pipe: http://www.automedia.com/article/ima...0101cd_p11.jpg flat flanges like this: http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg loop flanges: http://www.streetrays.com/catalog/im...tc_001_big.jpg |

so, looks like loop flanges are the style of choice. i'll have to make the holes slightly oval to allow for an angle fitup though. ;)
i'll put an order in for some on monday. |

----, Aaron, if you'd had some loop flanges in stock I might have sold my Jimfab in order to pick up your DIY bits and make my own. The Jimfab is a nice unit, but it has no provisions for radiator mounting (why I wanted the tow hook flanges) and it sucks ass at downpipe clearance.

Are you going to make the flanges for the tow hook area?

Re: tration bar flange kits, i need input on what you want for the tabs. poll in
im in. it would be sweet if we could buy both the loop and tow hook flanges in a package. super simple to build.

I think I'll buy some from you to make my traction bar. The only thing I'm not sure of is the exact placement of the tabs. It's a geometry thing, and I only gradumatated Math 2. 8)
When I was selling the L-con bars, he showed me a collapsable rod that he used to make the bars. He placed the tabs at different places until he could move the wheel up/down until the rod produced no extension/retraction, and that's how he knew the correct spot for the tabs. If someone could explain this for me, although it might not make a world of difference, I could more confidently make my bars. I voted sandwich, but whatever you make, I want mine in mild and holla at a nigga when dey done.

Louie is full of it. There is no such thing as placement that doesn't bind. The natural motion of a traction bar is an arc which is tangent to the arc of suspension travel. The only thing you can do is place the pivot point on the bar parallel to the pivot point on the suspension which is the inner bushing of the lower control arm. Hope you got that Steve. If not, just send me some more stickers. |

Hey, Aaron, how about some radiator mounting tabs if you're feeling squirrelly?
