Re:Tranny bearing. ------- gay honda/ GM
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i swapped the fluid in my tranny from 10w-30 to GM syncromesh FM and with the 10w-30 it had a nasty grind above 5000 from 2nd to 3rd no matter how fast/slow you shifted. After the oil swap it was a little better but still grinded, but after a week and probably 250 miles the grind is GONE and it helped alot of the notchiness also... Saved my *** is right

It was wierd seeing a spenser started thread :P
But accord, that's interesting, now I wanna get a grinding tranny just to try. I remember when I had my hatch it would always grind and it was very annoying.

<--- Been using it for over a year, no problems what so ever, also the majority of the people around my area who drive hondas use it. You probably put the stuff in a bad tranny and are bitching because it didn't fix your ruined bearings. As for complaining, honda recommends using reg. motor oil in the tranny, why didn't you use that? This is the first case where I've saw somebody complaining about gm syncromesh.
