traction bar on a lowered car
How low will it hang? I dont scrape on anything right now and i wanna keep it that way. My car is 1 1/2" lower than stock on tien springs. When i look under my car, it doesnt even look like they would fit. The bars would be on an upward angle from the rad support to the control arms.
I just saw aarons traction bar flanges and i really wanna make a set now. |
Re: traction bar on a lowered car
I have built them with swept back down tabs and they clear nicely.

Re: traction bar on a lowered car
does the bar itself hang real low though? Because my rad support is already like 3" off the ground. If the bar gets welded to the bottom of the tow hooks, thats definitely gonna hang below the bottom rad support. Which means its gonna be awfully close to the ground. Have you made them for anyone whose car was lowered?

Re: traction bar on a lowered car
1 1/2 inches isnt that low, so i wouldnt worry about it. besides tha, you probably dont have enough power to need a traction bar anyways.

Re: traction bar on a lowered car
i have Lakewood traction bars and i tag them on ---- all the time. But better it be that bar then my frame or DP. think of it as a rabbit killer.
The only thing i seem to hit it on is the bolt that holds the bar to the strut |
