track tech insp ???????

i am planning on going to MIR in the morning for test n tune, i'm pretty sure my car will pas tech except for my seats. i have CRX Si seats in my hatch and since i was too lazy to swap pans i only have 3 bolts holding each front seat down. the seats are still quite stable, would they fail me for that??

Yeah, they have only checked my seatbelts not the actual seats or brackets.

The tightest tech I ever saw was at Bristol in TN. They looked over the car, didn't think it was fast, and let us through. Trapped 120+ mph, they told Wes he had to get a helmet and lose the passenger (me). *shrug*

Most places tech is a joke. Sometimes they get a little concerned if you rip a nasty pass, but not usually.

hell.... if you went to the track in bradenton florida, you pull in with your truck and trailer. go unload the car, get setup. then walk over to the tech booth, bring them your tech card, sign the waiver, get your armband, and go race. the first time a track official sees the car is when your pulling into the waterbox. Not really that safe, but a friend of mine got off a few low 10 sec passes in his 94 camaro with no bar in the car whatsoever.

i just got back, they didnt even make me pop the hood.

my best time was 15.2 @ 89, i couldnt launch for ----, 2.3 60' all day. i think it was the combo of my first time at the track and the frigid temps (~30* when i got there, 40* on my last run)
