Totaled my TEG!! What's next?
 

So, 2 wks ago (Jun 11, 2008) I was rear ended by this O0 bitch. Her excuse was "I'm sorry. I've had a long day. My feet hurt, I was tryin to take me heels off and hit the gas". Anyway. I spoke w/ their insurance adjuster. They decided to total my 97 LS teg (AKA Non-Boosted Beast). Local body shop said damage was $900. Insurance company said damage was $2618. WTF?? Well, according to KBB, my car is valued @ $2650. According to dickface USAA, it's valued @ $21xx.xx. I can keep the car and still get $1644.xx. I told homeboy I had like $2k in upgrades n ----, faxed him receipts. He "re-adjusts". Value- $2951.xx, keep the car, get $1797.xx. WTF?? He told me that my in dash TV and upgraded audio system didn't change the value of the car. So, I told him to eat my shorts, pay me $2951, total it, and I would remove my TV n ----. so.. that's the deal. Thing is.. I paid $1700 for the teg last july. That's all the $$ I got in it. My orange chicken TB is comin off, so I'm @ no loss. My ultimate question is.. WHAT SHOULD I BUY w/ MY $3k??

I have an auto DA I'm gonna make my DD. I want a new toy. I've had 2 CRXs, 2 Civic HBs, 3 Tegs.. I'm leanin to an accord? Gimme some advice! :6

But still im only 22, and its nice having a 4 door sometimes. they don't look too ugly and they arent too heavy (Compared to other cars, not hatch's or crx) and they are still and eg, so its all good. I love mine, im on my second one now.

get as much money as you can (setel in a sense) and keep the car id say at least 1500 + car
then eather fix or part it out
they want to make money by ree selling the car and jewing you like a O0

When the insurance company came and got my totaled 94 eg coupe took the stereo,fenders ,head,dizzy,battery,seats and they didnt say ----!!!!!!

How much to buy the car back from the insurance company it shouldnt be much of anything. Ls swap=atleast 1k +all the nick nack bull



Little work on your end but everyone I know who wrecked there cars bought them back from insurance and made a nice little profit selling the rest of the car off



Insurance company sells the cars at auction to guys like me. If money is tight buying it back is your best bet

Dude some bitch turned in front of me (May 20th) on my Bday and totaled my 95 hatch, they were gonna give me 2200 for it, gave them a list of parts i had on it which bumped it up to 2800 and then I bought it back for $200...how the hell is you teg worth less than that? I guess its just the different area...anyways paid $900 for my VX hatch, got it back and $2600, just bought a 94 Del sol for $1100 and VX swapping for some bad ass mpg :8
