Torque mount question

How many of you don't run the torque mount on their d16 eg?

My wastegate is in the way so i removed it but if i modify the mount like cuting 1 of the 4 bolt it will clear.
What should i do?

M4d sty13z paint sh0p sk1LL2... not as close as Hotrex but still...

this is the mount:

the red circle would be what i'd remove

and if still dont figure what i'm taling about, it the piece number 1 in this pics

my own car is practically the only car i've seen with it ???

Re: Torque mount question

i cut mine in half to clear the stock wastegate.
it was a bitch to get to so later on i got another wastegate and extended the arm.
both ways worked.
i should probably put an uncut bracket back, but the 2 bolts hold it up fine. no probs.

Uh, I don't think Honda put that one extra bolt there because it looked good.

And I don't think Honda planned on a turbo being installed on the engine.

It'll hold just fine with 3 bolts. I've seen plenty of people cut it completely in half and just use 2. Labatt you don't have a damn thing to worry about ;)

I have heard stories of the valve cover hitting the hood from removing the entire mount, yes. But he will not have any problems cutting out the section I specified.

Fook runs 0 psi, sikkkk :P
