Torque mount question
How many of you don't run the torque mount on their d16 eg?
My wastegate is in the way so i removed it but if i modify the mount like cuting 1 of the 4 bolt it will clear. What should i do? M4d sty13z paint sh0p sk1LL2... not as close as Hotrex but still... this is the mount: http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg the red circle would be what i'd remove and if still dont figure what i'm taling about, it the piece number 1 in this pics http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...13sr20_j25.gif |
Re: Torque mount question
my own car is practically the only car i've seen with it ???
GSR in EG hatch i also have that mount under the frame on the driver side, just under the one on top of the frame |
Re: Torque mount question
i cut mine in half to clear the stock wastegate.
it was a bitch to get to so later on i got another wastegate and extended the arm. both ways worked. i should probably put an uncut bracket back, but the 2 bolts hold it up fine. no probs. http://img131.echo.cx/img131/8853/p11600571fa.th.jpg |

Uh, I don't think Honda put that one extra bolt there because it looked good.

It'll hold just fine with 3 bolts. I've seen plenty of people cut it completely in half and just use 2. Labatt you don't have a damn thing to worry about ;) |
