Re:Tools

my whole thought on using craftsmen is, why waste the money on other lifetime warrantied tools(snap-on) when craftsmen is lifetime warrantied as well. not sayin i wouldnt buy craftsmen if my budget allowed it ;D

Re:Tools

Snap On has one advantage, depending on how you order them they do have service guys that drive those nice big arse tool trucks [Tim Allen grunt] and will replace the tools on the site (or so this is what the salesmen at my school told us).
Where as with a craftsman you have to drive to a dealer.

Re:Tools

over the past two years i have accumulated a shitload of tools and brands, many of which ive needed only once, like the 200 for the ball joint set i needed on my truck, then the 30 socket for my accord hubs that i used once and then sold the car. most of them are off-brand jap tools but they work fine...i broke a breaker bar once but since my local parts store loves me, they replaced it for free, but gave me a funny look (i didnt tell them i was using a 4 foot pipe on the end of it for torque)..anyway, i use stanley sockets and some craftsmen, both of which have snapped or cracked at least once, but im gonna replace my dads 30yr old craftsmen ratchet soon so thats good...sorry this was so long
