Tools
This question was asked on the resource, but I changed it around a bit, and I think we have more "Technical kinda guys on this board"
This question/poll is actually difficult for me to answer, since I can choose so many. I buy so many different kinds of tools for different things. I owe about a million ------- dollars to the Matco truck, and I just paid off my Snap on account. But what about Harbor Freight? holy ---- that place has some great stuff at prices we can afford! Oh, and option 8 happens all the ------- time.. hah Jeff Frank |
Re:Tools
where is the "PowerBuilt" tools??? CSK Auto has a full line of those LOL...
most of my tools are Craftsman, but there is some other wierd ---- that has wondered in there from when i lose my tools (where the ---- did my 14 deep go???) |
Re:Tools
Unfortunately most my tools have 'Chrome Vandium' stamped on them :-\
Maybe if I had a garage I'd take some pride in my tools. At least I dont feel bad when I overhand one out into the woods when I get pissed.... :) |
Re:Tools
I'm 19, went into my ZC swap blind with no tools. Lets see bought a $15 torque wrench on ebay, a $10 metric sale socket set, $10 metric wrench set. Then borrowed EVERYTHING else including but not limited to, hoist, timing light, air compressor, air tools, JACK STANDS, luckily I know some nice people around here.
Urgh, just remember had to buy a $25 breaker bar, and $5 socket that broke twice (Thanks craftsman) to get the busted hub nut off. |
Re:Tools
I try to stick with craftsman, but when moneys tight (lots of times) i go harbor freight or cheap on ebay
|
Re:Tools
i run next door to my cousins house and use his dads tools.. :) of course i keep them organized and return them in the order i got them in.

Re:Tools
most of mine are very old.. but anything new i buy is husky. The new craftsman tools are crap, not near as strong as the 30 year old sets were. Husky is middle of the road, I just cant stomach the prices of snapon and the likes.

Re:Tools
It really depends on what I need. Harbor Freight is good for things like 20 ton shop presses! Craftsmen is nice for hand tools, and they are getting better and better it seems with the high end type of fit.
I have to admit though, snap on is the ----. |
Re:Tools
dam if i could leave the state with out the tool guys breakin my knees i would be happy. i own many tools from all brands snap on, crafstman, mac, cornwell. i have to admit that cornwel is becoming the ---- good prices and good products cant be wrong.
