Toolbox accident

So ya, past couple days I've been cleaning up my toolbox inside and out, just have lots of tools and parts stuff everywhere in my box unorginized and ----. So I got some new tools today, stopped by on my day off to put them away.. and well, I had all 3 drawers on the bottom open, a couple of the sides and just started to open the top drawer and it fell over on me.

The box fell over about 1/2 way before it pinched between my foot and the bottom drawer, however all the drawers started opening when it tipped and tools started flying out. So it didnt go all the way over. I just sat there holding the box 1/2 way over screaming help! Everyone in the shop came over and helped me tip it back right side up. I had all kinds of ---- on top of my box including my new pistons/rods and other various parts that went flying across the shop.

My big toe is now completely fucked to match my other bad foot, so thats great...

A little bit of damage on the new pistons... not to big of a deal, I was more worried about scratching the box or ------- up one of the drawers than anything! I'm just glad the box is ok no damage at all, and well my foot.. it'll be good by the weekend =)

Just a really really scary momment, never thought it would ever do that considering I've had the top drawer open all the way fully loaded with tools and with me sitting on the end of it and there was no way near a sign of tipping.

Heh, our gay ass shop is mandatory to wear steel toes :P. Most likely you're going to have to pull that nail out :X. And OUCH.

that sucks, but atleast the box is fine, thats a spendy box right there, I get pissed if anything happens to my cheapy craftsman box. Did you have the bottom drawers full?

told you you should have bought a snap-on, seriously though your ------ lucky, glad your mostley OK. My old snap-on didn't have "lock n roll" (locking drawers) and I just about lost that one because the detents dont hold that well when your drawers are really full. PS your toes scare the hell out of me :X

snap on toolboxes suck major cock, I have pictures of a guys snappy box that fell over and the thing was destroyed. It wasnt the boxes fault, it was my own.

new style snap-on? they make differnet quality ones. krl series are the good ones with the lock and roll (you would have to be a mental midget to tip those) I know its your fault not the boxes :P

so why did you have.. 2, 4, 6.. carry the 2.. 20 full, heavy drawers open at the same time??

i could understand 2, maybe 3 IF you were organizing at that time, but come on.. seems a little irresponsible to me :-X

although it seems like those open bottom drawers saved your life- the whole box could come down on ya!

^^^ easy to do when oranizing/ switching tools from one drawer to another, you open a few then it tips and more open.
