that powerwheels gonna fly with a 12v. my nextdoor neighbor did that a long time ago on his kids powerwheels atc and it poped a wheelie and the kid fell down, he was ok. that's a fourwheeler so it has alot more stability. but that little atc had tons more power with the 12v battery. the 4dr's lookin dope kid.

if i knew anything about electronics i would either use some sort of transformer or something to bring the voltage down to like say 9V or something..again i dont know ---- bout electronics. all i know is to plug it in , plug it in!

i guess i should take a course or read a book or something.

dizzam, my accord has a shitty paint job on it now, I might as well flat black it.

you have the same tires as me, -------. but mine only have about 3 miles on them going up and down my street at full throttle going 10 mph.

Julio, that power wheels thingy runs off DC, transformers run of AC. but if you were smart you would disconnect the 6V battery at the same time you connect the 12v, or else you'll fry the 6V battery. Or put heavy duty Diode in the line to the 6V so you don't feed 12V into your 6V. 12v into 6v = potential boom, I'm pretty sure that would ruin your kids day. Oh and nice car.

I was just thinking about that 6v getting 12 too. But then, why would you still need the 6v on there? That's like going turbo and running a second intake to run N/A some of the time. I say take the 6v out and replace with motorcycle battery. ;)

Oh, and weld up some wheelie bars too. ;)

Finally some pics after I've been beggin' your fruityass forever. Now get some engine shots vato! Thats powerwheelz is sweet! Just get some PVC pipe and make a wheelie bar with that when you figure out the 12v battery and bigger motor situation. or just put the battery as far front of it as you can to balance it out. Damn I kinda liked the old fat 5's but the blades are nice too.

thats true.Another thing you can do Julio is try and find some smaller voltage bateries and put then in series.Like if you can find 3,3volt bateries just put them is series and that will get you the 9 volts.Or find what ever you can as long as you dont go over like 9 volts in that thing.12 volts will kill the motor pretty quick.Try and find an electronics surplus store. They usually have used bateries that are pretty cheap.

Another thing you can do is,if you do get a 12 volt battery just get some in line resistors. This will lower the voltage just like if you were installing some 450s in it ;).Just keep them away from anny plastic or the baterry couse they will get pretty hot.

what year is your car?Im really starting to dig that model :-\

lol, I got more experience with those powerwheels then you know, when I was about 13/14 I some how got my hands on a couple of them :D. They will run for hours on a car battery, and even longer on a deep cycle motorhome. hooked 48 volts up to them, and they will still take it like hotrex's girl takes a HMT train to the brain.

I ran the same powerwheel everyday almost all summer on 12 volts, pulling my 120 body, a small trailer, and 2 large car batteries. This will probly be alittle too much power for your son at first. If he leans too far back, the initial torque from the engines will tip him back (it was doing it to us, with the car battery in the front, I think I wrecked all my clothes that summer spillin battery acid on them)

If you rig up a 'turbo' button that switchs over to 12 volts, than he wont have to worry about the initial JUMP of torque (well atleast untill he gets older and wants to haul ass 8) )

The powerwheels are also cheap ass modular frames, same with the motor and stepper gears, axles, and wheels. So its almost completely impossible to try adding larger motor, different gear ratios, or anything short of taking out the seat and putting in a 1x6.
