tire size help
hi guys i know this is dumb as hell but search isnt helping worth a ---- looks like im going to turn to the wisdom and insight of hmt onece again
i live in CO and it snowed today and i relized my car sucks asss in the snow i have 17" rims with nice ass tiers that came with it anyway heres my question my buddy hooked it up with two studded snow tiers they say p185/60r14 and 825mts anyway i know this wont fit my rims so imma hit the junk yard for some steelies do u guys know any car this tire will fit on, should i just look for any 4bolt that starts with p185 or what, itd be real cool if someone explains how to read the name thanks |

r14 means 14 inch rims. thats about all i know.

60 = height of tire 14 = size of rim get a 14 inch honda steelie and put it on |

kool do the ek eg civics come with 185wide steelies or does the width not even matter, thanks man

It does not matter what tire came on the car originally.You need some 14 inch steel wheels with the right bolt pattern for your car.If you have a Civic,CRX or Intergra and there is 4 lug nuts holding your wheels on then it is 4x100 bolt pattern.Any auto wrecker etc should have some of these.

P195/60R14..........The P stands for pmetric or passenger, the 195 represents the width in mm. The 60 is the aspect ratio (percent of the width equals the sidewall heighth) the R stands for radial and 14 is your rim diameter. There are some limitations as far as rim widths when trying to put a fatty wide tire on a skinny wheel, but just about any honda steelie should work for the tire size you got. Just put two on the front and use the e-brake ALOT!
