well the coolant bypass mod shouldnt have any adverse effects i can think if, and im hoping this is an NA car if your advancing the timing, and why would you pull off the hose on the fpr?its going to make the fuel pressure static and very high for low throttle obviously

Advanced= better low end/shittier top end
Retard= better top end/shittier low end

I think the guy you heard this from told you to advance cause he sounds like a retard. ;)

seems more like cam timing to me

i think he meant advance ignition timing :P

anyways,on my sohc honda ....advance it 3-4 degrees for best results ...(you need a timing gun)...don't do this if you're boosting...lol

I've seen that site, and the guy's a retard. He says to remoantve your swaybars and cut your springs for better handing.

If you take the vacuum hose off of your FPR, it's gonna run rich as ----. Also, advancing the timing on a FI car will make it much more prone to detonation, signifigantly increasing your chances of grenading an otherwise good motor.

if you wanna find hidden horsepower then start with a rust bucket early model big block and give it a tune up.

a few years back, I don't know exactly how many, somebody thought "gee, that's alot of power going out the tail pipe" so they put a little turbine on their exhaust and connected the other end to an air compressor that pushed air into the engine, this gets you some power, I don't know if you've heard of it though.
