Default Time for an LSD, pics inside

Was at the strip last weekend (1/8th mile), and it was Sat. day. Crazy hot and traction wasn't ----. So me on my HMT drag slicks (read bald all seasons) decided to try a rev limiter launch and see what happens. Car is a 92 CX hatch with a 94 SI drive train. Bone stock except no intake before the TB and the muffler rusted off and I haven't had time to put it back on. Car sounds mean and I get a kick out of watching everyone else when i drive by. I'm still pretty damn new to this dragging stuff and my launch technique is basically pop the clutch when the light turns green. No slipping, and the 40 buck clutch and pp are holding up fine. When I launch from say 4k or higher, crazy wheel hop. The higher I launch, the worse the hop is. Below that and I bog pretty bad. So needless to say, the 7.5k launch was shaky as all hell. Even vibrated my rear view mirror off into my lap. Ended up running a 10.19. Best run by about .07 secons ever in that car, and a .15 better than any of that day. I was thinking well hell, lets see if it will do it again. I get about to the 60' and the car just revs up. I thought I jerked it out of gear first. Was thinking it was an axle, but needless to say I was wrong.

A bad sign before disassembly

Teeth everywhere

Shot carrier assembly

Crunch

I would have drove it home, but it locked up when I was troubleshooting at the track

I've got a spare, the stock CX. Hello gas mileage, at least until I get an OBX lsd and build up another tranny

while you are at it, stake it in.

bone is the man at D transmissions. he did mine a year or so back, it now has around 400whp strapped to it.

Well it seems every time I got I improve my best ET. I'm still learning. I want to make a set of traction bars to (help) eliminate wheel hop and hopefully prevent something like this from happening again. What elevation was the strip at?

It will be staked, and yes, Bone is the D tranny man.

Nice,
I blew a couple teeth out of my diff and through the case.
I drove it home dry, 50 miles.
took it apart and everything still looked mint.

MS and CS are fine, I would have tried driving it home, but it locked up. I jacked the pass side off the ground to see if it was a half-shaft or the tranny, and sure enough, it popped like heck with the wheel up in the air then just stalled the motor.
