Time to follow the trend (Swedishbrick)

Cousing informed me of some poor sap selling a 1991 940 turbo. Ends up 2 hours later and 150 dollars and i drive (slowly) this bitch home : ). Has a dead cylinder (#2), oil leaks all over the place, and some valvetrain noise(not so bad).
Some pics :D

Pulled the plugs and found this.

extreme carbon/sludge buildup on cylinder #2

someone was lazy and decided to never change #4 cylinder spark plug (different plug)

Sweet ------- grocery getter. :)

Everytime I see one of those, I think of the Volvo from one of Slo13's (?) video. The one where the brick drifts around the corner of the building :6

Trying to locate a compression tester(that works) and see where to go from there. I was hoping of doing plugs andvalve clearance tommorow but it turns out that these cars use shims instead of a adjusting screw on the valves : (. I will end up just getting it to start and stay on and just pass it on to some poor pancho who needs a ride, turning around a profit (500 or so).

If i can get this car to run reliably (find why #2 is dead) i plan on keeping it, dumping the current crx and saving up. Either in the end buying a mint ass crx(under 80k) or some new car. Anyone have any tips on getting valves unstuck?

Some followup pics. After swapping the plugs between 3 and 2, the "dead" cylinder also moved, head still has a hard ticking noise after an oil change and rev raping (2k for 7-8 minutes). Hopefully i can get some bank soon and buy a battery and other misc stuff.

it's going to be a bad ass daily for 150 bucks : P, all stickers are valid for another year and it starts up right away and idles like a champ. Needs a battery and a minor tune up.

I love Vulvas.

Cars are pretty cool, too.
