dont get snap on, you pay for the price, I KNOW I worked at a Industrial equipement supplier, get sears or canadian tire tools, all have lifetime warrenty anyways!! And for that special thing u need to get that sears or crappy tire doesnt have dont get snap on, too much!!! Canadian Tire or similar in the US should have everything you need

hers beau's box...

I had to get one just a little bit bigger than his haha.. Plus mine is sexy yella.

I actually own some craftsmen tools, nothing wrong with them at all. Back in high school I had a friend who worked at sears, basically I brang a shitload of stuff to the counter but he only rang me out for a spark plug gapper, haha.

Check out www.harborfreight.com there hand tools are all China crap but they have some realy great buys on hard to find stuff like ball joit press, noid lights, DVOM, and air tools. I will buy stuff like hammers and pry bars from them because off the price, the tool truck is rediculous. Lets face it a hammer is a hammer, no mater what name is on it.

Re:time to buy tools

I work at a Harley Dealer and all the tools we have are snap on ,craftmen ,mac ,matco and a whole bunch more brand names. We get like 3 different people that drop by in trucks. The techs mainly get snap on since they have some deal with harley to make the specialty tools but we have craftmen in the shop box.

Re:time to buy tools

snap on has nice tools, just kinda spendy... Stay away from their gay cheap boxes though.

Re:time to buy tools

The only thing Snap On makes that I think is worth the money compared to other brands are there ratchets. I have tried every brand of ratchet on the market and have the scars on my knuckles to prove it. Spend the money, get a good ratchet, get everything else from Sears. I get all my impact sockets from a place called Northern, Ingersall Rand brand, and they are indestructable and cheap.

we get LOTS of tools from northern, they used to be northern hydraulics, but they sold tools then too. we mainly get woodworking stuff, saws, handtools, etc, for the business(we make custom doors and stuff) they have good prices.

i break and mend lots of cratsman tools. sockets/screwdrivers ect. they have a lifetime warrenty cause they only last 2 weeks

Re:time to buy tools

Holy crap dude what were you doing to break a Snap on ratchet? You know they make these things called breaker bars, you dont have to put a piece of pipe over the end of your rachet. Sereously I have never had a problem with mine and I made a living with them every day for fifteen years, maybe the older ones are better than the ones they sell these days, I dont know.

Re:time to buy tools

most of my tools are craftsman, i have some no name brands for electronic work, and I've got a few snap on tools coming in now to. If you work with power tools, I highly recommend that MAC Tools or Snap On impact sockets... The life time warranty on them makes them so damn worth it ;)
